Tour Itinerary

Day 1

The luxurious Seven Day Irish Tour begins with your collection from Dublin Airport. You will be met at you plane by one
of our greeters and guided through passport control and into
Baggage claim. After retrieval of your luggage you will be introduced
to your Chauffeur / Guide in the arrivals hall. Your Chauffeur / Guide
will be with you for the entire trip. Now, after the introductions you,
will be brought to your hotel to check in. Depending on how you feel
and after you’ve settled into your hotel (1.5 – 2hrs approx) your
Chauffeur will take you on a driving tour around Dublin City & take
you to the Pheonix Park , the biggest public park in Europe. Home to
Dublin Zoo, the U.S Ambassador and the Irish President. It’s also a
time to get to know your Chauffeur / Guide as he/she gives you a
run down on your ULTIMATE TOUR OF IRELAND.

Day 2

We’re off…. At 8am your Chauffeur will meet you at your hotel with
luggage loaded, we begin as we drive to The Boyne Valley and visit
the world renowned “Brú Ná Boinne” the site of Newgrange. Older
than the pyramids of gisa, this Neolithic site is over 5200yrs old and,
in fantastic condition. Your tour time at Newgrange will be 2.5hrs /
3hrs. At approximately 12 midday we depart our Neolithic site of
Newgrange and head to, Tara and The Hill of Tara. A very important
site in Irish history. Tara was an important site long before the High
Kings. A passage tomb known as Dumha na nGiall (meaning ‘the
mound of the hostages’) is the oldest visible monument and dates
from around 3,000 BC. However, Tara became truly significant in the
Iron Age (600 BC to 400 AD) and into the Early Christian Period. You
get to walk around Tara and, depending on how busy it is but, if you
can get a table in Maguires restaurant (on site) we, recommend
lunch there. Good harty home cooked food with Irish soda and
Guinness bread. Our time spent in Tara depends on whether or not
you have lunch but, a rough guide would be 2.30pm / 3pm for
departure. It could be earlier. Next stop is Majestic Trim Castle. First
construction of this huge castle and fortress was in the late 1100’s.
This was one of the main castles used in “Braveheart” Mel Gibson’s
production for the big screen. If you don’t get the opportunity to
have lunch at the Hill of Tara, there is plenty choices in Trim to grab
a late lunch. When you have spent enough time in Trim, we’ll hit the
road and take a 2.5hr drive to the city of Kilkenny where, you’ll be
staying overnight. We don’t recommend any particular hotel to stay
in but, any 3 star or more hotel is very good.

Day 3

Good morning it’s 9:30am….Kilkenny Castle is our destination
this morning where you’ll enjoy a walk around the Castle, grounds
and gardens. Beautifully presented, maintained and preserved.
Kilkenny Castle is one of the finest in Europe. As it’s a more modern
castle due to being rebuilt several times, it boasts some of the most
authentic medieval pieces of art, weaponry and furniture. As you exit
the castle, why not have a quick browse in “Kilkenny Design Shop
housing authentic Irish products and Souvenirs. All aboard for 11am
approximately as we head 1hr away to “The Rock of Cashel” once a
castle on high then donated to the church for the inscription of
tablets. St. Patrick banished Satan himself from this land. Its
believed that Satan lived within a cave and with the exorcism there
was a big rumble of huge rocks where, one huge rock landed on the
opening of the said cave thus, blocking it to, ensure no return of
Satan. On this Rock now sits the Abbey once a Castle. I recommend
a lite lunch which, can be had at The Rock of Cashel as, tonight
you’ll be staying in the gourmet capital of Ireland, Kinsale. We advise
that you have a browse through restaurants in Kinsale on, Google.
All the restaurants are amazing that’s why we advise pre booking
both restaurant and hotel / accommodation. Before we get to Kinsale
we are stopping off in Midleton the home of Jameson Distillery. (Pre
booking a tour here is also advised especially during the months May
– September) Arriving at Jameson Distillery for around 3:30pm and
departing for Kinsale at approximately 5:30pm. ETA 6:30pm in
Kinsale.

Day 4

Had a good night? Why not take take sometime to to explore
Kinsale
. Departure time from Kinsale, 11am and we drive to Blarney
Castle and Wollen Mills. Where you can climb to the top of the castle
and kiss the Blarney stone. You’ll then inherit “The Gift of the Gab
“ just in time to, do a little sweater shopping in the Wollen Mills.
100% authentic wollen products made onsite. We also recommend
lunch at the Wollen Mills. When you’re ready to leave Blarney after a
nice relaxing lunch we’ll take a trip to Killarney. Killarney in the
county of Kerry is a huge tourist spot. Before bringing you to your
hotel we, invite you to have a walk around Muckross House and
Killarney National Park. Muckross Park Hotel has always been a
favourite spot for our clients to stay if, you want to check availability
and prices. The restaurant in the hotel is also highly recommended
for its fine food. After your visit to Muckross House and National Park
you will be taken on a short drive around Killarney before checking in
to your chosen hotel for the night.

Day 5

Wakey……Wakey…Rise and Shine.
After breakfast we depart your hotel at 9:30am and we take a short
trip to Ross Castle and lake. Take a look around the Castle and a
scenic trip around the lake before we depart for Adare. Adare town,
well know for its magnificent Adare Manor Hotel and golf resort
where it was home to the pro-am in 2022. Unfortunately unless
you’re a guest, entry is not permitted. But, do not dismay as the
town of Adare is equally as nice and picturesque. Take a stroll
through the boutiques and enjoy a bit of lunch in one of their many
award winning restaurants. All aboard as we continue our Journey
through Limerick and into Clare as we drive on high ‘O’ vails and
hills, eventually 1hr and 15mins later arriving at the Cliffs of Moher.
You’ll get the opportunity to look out over the Cliffs at The Aran
Islands and walk along the cliff edge as you watch out for the
symbolic bird of this area “The Puffin” the Cliffs were used in Harry
Potter Movies and if you visit the visitor center you’ll inherit the
knowledge of the local landscape that surrounds the Cliffs, The
Burren which, wd drive through and you’ll get to hopefully stop at a
couple of different spots as we roll downhill to Galway where you’ll
be staying overnight. Galway is the city of festivities and Culture. It’s
the host to 57 different festivals every year and each being a
fulfilled, jam packed , colourful event. Again Galway being a very
popular city with tourists and also the Irish it’s important to prebook
restaurants.

Day 6

Into the west we go….
Giving you time to explore Galway city in the morning. We depart
the city of culture at 11am as we embark on journey into the rugged
landscape of Connemara. We take a scenic route and pop in to a
local sheep farm & Mine “Glengowla” for, a demonstration on
sheepdog herding and a detailed look on what life was and, is like in
the rural West. Next we move onto Kylemore Abbey and grounds.
Sitting on 1000 acres of natural beauty, Kylemore Abbey is
maintained to the highest of orders by the Nuns of Benedictine
order. An abbey full of tranquility and peace. We comb the edges of
“Killary Fjord” and see its natural beauty. Taking in local restaurants
and craft stalls on our route to Westport. It’s in the town of
Westport you stay tonight. Over looked by “Croagh Patrick” a
mountain of pilgrimage. People make the climb in their bare feet
from the bottom, right to the top, the summit.

Day 7

Heading back to the East.
The sun rises high over Croagh Patrick as we head towards “Cong”
the village where John Wayne’s movie “A quiet man” was filmed
along with, Maureen O’Hara. The stately castle of Ashford and, its
estate, borders the village of Cong and, all going well we get to have
tea & scones there depending on bookings. In the early afternoon
we make our way back to Dublin stopping for a bite of lunch in the
Hudson Bay Hotel, Athlone. Arriving in Dublin in the early evening
giving you time to see the city at night.

Day 8

Wicklow and Dublin
Departing your hotel at 9am we make our way to Enniskerry and
Powerscourt Estate and Distillery. Nestled in the Wicklow mountains
lies this fantastic estate and gardens accompanied by, their own
Distillery, a 5 star luxurious hotel, a golf course and Avoca . You’ll
get to spend 2hrs at Powerscourt estate and then, we travel back to
Dublin to, The Guinness Storehouse where, you’ll take the tour of
Guinness. You’ll get to pour your own pint and see how Guinness is
made and, how the brand became so famous. After your pint we
take a short drive to St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Christ Church
Cathedral. 2 of the most beautifully architectural Cathedrals in
Ireland. In-between the 2 Cathedrals is Dublin Castle and the
Chester Beatty Library. When you have finished visiting these sites
we’ll, take you back to your hotel and make arrangements with you
for your return trip to Dublin Airport.

Notes:Useful information and Links for each day on tour.

Day 1

Your hotel Choice in Dublin.

We advise a central location to Dublin City. Most hotels within Dublin
are good quality. Always go for no less than a 3 star. Booking.com or
dublinhotels.com we find are quite good but it does help to shop
around.

Day 2

Overnight in Kilkenny.

Tickets to Newgrange Included.

Kilkenny is obviously smaller than Dublin so, therefore choosing a
hotel is easier. Again stick with no less than a 3 star. If you want top
class luxury we, recommend “Mount Julliet Estate or Lyratt Estate”
both just outside Kilkenny
